Alcazar Energy is seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our market strategy, rebranding efforts, and cross-platform communication. The focus will be on driving strategic capital formation and fostering engagement with investors and developers, The candidate will also be responsible for producing thought leadership content that addresses trends in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure within emerging markets.
This role will involve spearheading branding refresh initiatives and managing all marketing efforts across the firm’s private equity activities, ensuring alignment with Alcazar Energy’s vision and strategy for AEP-II and subsequent funds. The Marketing & Communications Manager will be instrumental in reinforcing the Alcazar brand, as well as delivering perspectives on current emerging market developments and trends in our target jurisdictions; particularly as we grow our presence and influence in the sustainable infrastructure and private equity spaces.
The Marketing & Communications Manager will use their knowledge to develop content from start to finish, ensuring voice consistency, as well as relevance of topics, positioning, and assiduity of publications. Content creation will include drafting thought leadership/educational pieces and include select collateral production for various events.
Responsibilities:
Cross-Platform Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies that highlight the benefits of emerging markets and Alcazar’s energy platform, supported by in-depth market research, trend analysis, and content creation. Deliver commentaries and short-form content across multiple channels, including conferences, presentations, and digital platforms. Guide in-country teams and manage local consultants in the development and implementation of asset-specific communication strategies.
Content Creation: Write and manage the production of materials from concept to completion across diverse formats—white papers, articles, videos, podcasts, and social media, including materials documenting the development, construction and operation of our renewable energy assets in country. Ensuring consistency in messaging, voice, and editorial quality.
Rebranding and Marketing Initiatives: Lead Alcazar Energy’s rebranding efforts, including the development of a refreshed brand identity that aligns with our strategic vision. Oversee marketing initiatives designed to elevate Alcazar's reputation within the private equity space, targeting key investor audiences and developers with bespoke content and branding efforts.
Private Equity Marketing: Create compelling marketing collateral that articulates Alcazar’s unique selling points in sustainable infrastructure to the private equity and investment community. This includes materials for investor presentations, offering documents, and updates on fund performance, as well as ESG and sustainability initiatives.
Industry Analysis: Monitor and synthesise key trends in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and private equity, particularly in emerging markets, for use in Alcazar’s communication channels and investor outreach.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Senior Leadership, investment professionals, and internal teams to align marketing efforts with broader business strategies. Collaborate with external agencies, designers, and media outlets where necessary.
Metrics and Reporting: Produce regular metrics reports that track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communication efforts, with a focus on investor engagement, brand visibility, and capital formation success.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders (Senior Leadership, investment professionals, technical professionals, and in-country teams) and external stakeholders (investors, developers, media, and agencies).
Qualifications and Skills:
5-10 years of marketing and communications experience within asset management or private equity, with proven content creation, project management, and strategic positioning capabilities. Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is a plus.
Marketing degree preferred; or equivalent certifications advantageous.
Expertise in investment management products and services, ideally across multiple distribution channels. A strong interest or experience in ESG and emerging markets is highly desirable.
Strong multitasking abilities and comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be adept at managing ambiguity and complexity.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to cultivate lasting relationships with senior executives and investors.
Demonstrated organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills, with a focus on detail-oriented execution.
Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable marketing tactics.
