Job Summary
As a Senior HR Advisor at Standard Chartered, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the people agenda across the organisation by providing strategic, insightful, and impactful HR advisory services. Key Responsibilities
In your role, you will be responsible for providing proactive, high-impact HR advisory support to People Leaders across various levels of the bank, ensuring that HR interventions are aligned with both local and global strategies. You will act as a trusted partner, delivering constructive guidance on leadership development, talent management, and employee relations to foster a positive, productive working environment.
- Provide expert advice and support on low to medium employee relations matters, collaborating closely with Employee Relations teams to resolve issues diplomatically and effectively.
- Drive initiatives that enhance leadership capabilities, helping People Leaders develop skills to manage teams inclusively and drive performance.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes to ensure simplicity, scalability, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Monitor and analyse people data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, using insights to recommend data-informed HR solutions.
- Support the design and delivery of targeted programmes that advance talent development, succession planning, and career progression, particularly for high-potential employees.
- Collaborate across multiple HR Centres of Excellence and business units to ensure seamless execution of the People Plan and strategic HR projects.
- Champion a culture of accountability and ambition, encouraging People Leaders and colleagues to embed these values into their daily work and interactions.

- Proficient in leveraging HR analytics to provide insights that drive continuous improvement and enable strategic workforce planning.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess a robust foundation in human resources with demonstrated expertise in advisory roles that require influencing senior leaders and driving tangible people outcomes.
- Significant experience delivering HR advisory and consulting services within a complex, matrixed organisational setting.
- Deep knowledge of talent management frameworks, performance management systems, and effective employee relations practices.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior People Leaders, fostering trust and partnership.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience leading organisational change initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and coaching skills enabling the facilitation of difficult conversations and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical mindset with an aptitude for interpreting HR data and metrics to inform strategy and decision making.
- Professional HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are highly desirable and considered a strong advantage.
