Job Description

The Laundry Supervisor oversees daily laundry operations to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of clean linens, uniforms, or garments.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations and staff schedules
  • Assign duties and monitor staff performance to ensure productivity and quality standards
  • Ensure proper washing, drying, ironing, and folding procedures are followed
  • Inspect finished laundry items for cleanliness, damage, and presentation
  • Train new employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Monitor and maintain laundry equipment; report or arrange repairs as needed
  • Manage inventory of detergents, chemicals, linens, and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Handle staff issues, provide feedback, and assist with performance evaluations
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of laundry chemicals, fabrics, and equipment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
