Landscape Designer

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly creative and talented Creative Designer – Landscape to join our landscape architecture team in UAE. This role is critical in shaping the creative direction and visual narrative of landmark projects across the Kingdom, supporting early-stage concept development and design visioning. This role requires a proactive, collaborative individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and contributes meaningfully to the creative excellence of complex, high-profile developments across Saudi Arabia.

Your role

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting and leading creative design initiatives across landscape architecture projects, with a focus on concept development, visualization, and design communication. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a client-facing creative representative, confidently presenting conceptual ideas and visual narratives during internal reviews and client presentations.
• Leading the development of conceptual design visuals including mood boards, concept diagrams, storyboards, design narratives, and presentation layouts.
• Supporting and contributing to creative workshops, brainstorming sessions, and early-stage design visioning activities.
• Producing high-quality graphics, illustrations, sketches, diagrams, and presentation materials to communicate design intent effectively.
• Translating design strategies, research insights, and abstract ideas into clear, engaging, and compelling visual communication outputs.
• Supporting the development and communication of creative direction aligned with project vision, client objectives, and AtkinsRéalis design standards.
• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including landscape architects, urban designers, architects, planners, and visualization specialists to refine and enhance design concepts.
• Ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment of all visual outputs with project requirements, brand standards, and design guidelines.
• Staying current with emerging design trends, visualization tools, technologies, and creative methodologies relevant to landscape architecture and urban design.
  
  

About You

We are looking for a passionate and creative design professional with strong conceptual thinking, visualization expertise, and experience working on complex landscape or urban development projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture or a related design discipline.
• Masters degree in a Landscape or Urban Design is preferred.
• Typically, 10–12 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, urban design, or creative design roles, preferably within international design consultancies.
• Demonstrated experience supporting early-stage design, concept development, and design visualization.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex developments, preferably within the Middle East or Saudi Arabia.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality visual presentations, conceptual graphics, and design communication materials.
• Experience supporting client presentations, workshops, and design reviews.
  
  

Technical And Professional Skills

• Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling abilities.
• Excellent graphic design, illustration, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant design and visualization software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, Rhino, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of landscape architecture and urban design principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and visual.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to design quality and excellence.
