Job Description

The Laboratory Analyst role is a critical position within our organization, focusing on the analysis of various samples to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses and experiments in a laboratory environment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and precision, as well as the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with your team and other departments. The position is well-suited for individuals who are analytical thinkers and problem-solvers, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice. Successful candidates will have a solid background in chemistry or a related science and possess excellent organizational and technical skills.


Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely analysis of samples to determine composition and concentration.
  • Ensure that all laboratory work is conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all experimental work and results achieved.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples for analysis in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean and calibrated correctly.
  • Report and interpret results of analysis to senior scientists and other stakeholders.
  • Identify any discrepancies in data and report them to the appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Assist in the development of new testing methods and procedures as required.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in lab meetings and contribute to discussions about test results and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Assist in the training of new laboratory staff and interns as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-pace environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting results.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
