We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our Pathology department. Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists in the preparation and examination of tissue samples.
• Conduct basic lab tests and record experimental data accurately.
• Maintain and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment regularly.
• Prepare solutions and reagents following lab protocols and safety guidelines.
• Manage and organize laboratory supplies, ensuring adequate stock is available.
• Enter and update patient information and test results into database systems.
• Ensure all areas of the lab are clean and free from hazards at all times.
• Dispose of biohazardous materials and waste according to safety guidelines.
• Support research projects by collecting and processing samples as required.
• Facilitate communication between laboratory staff, clinicians, and administrative personnel.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with lab techniques.
• Assist in the validation and calibration of lab equipment to maintain accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical laboratory or clinical setting is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Working knowledge of lab safety protocols and biohazard management.
• Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in data entry and record keeping.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
