Lab Analyst - Chemistry

POSITION: Chemistry Lab Analyst

DIVISION: NQAC Dubai

LOCATION: Al Maha Factory, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

REPORTS TO: Chemistry Lab Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to support chemical and nutritional analysis activities within our laboratory. The role is responsible for performing analytical testing in accordance with established instructions and guidelines, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining full compliance with laboratory quality and safety standards

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and nutritional analyses in accordance with Nestlé instructions, guidelines, and approved laboratory methods.
• Operate analytical instruments and conduct routine testing for assigned parameters.
• Accurately record, review, and update analytical data and associated laboratory documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), laboratory safety requirements, 5S, and applicable quality standards.
• Verify analytical results and ensure tests are reported only when quality control criteria are met.
• Identify and escalate analytical, technical, or operational issues to the NQAC Laboratory Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Support laboratory audits and inspections by maintaining proper records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.Requirements
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  
  

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a chemical or nutritional analytical laboratory.
  
  

• Practical experience operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments such as:
• HPLC
• GC-FID
• ICP-OES
• Solid understanding and practical application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, including hands-on experience with audits and interaction with internal and external auditors.
• Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Knowledge of statistical method control is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently while strictly following SOPs and instructions.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet analytical timelines.
• Willingness to follow instructions and clearly report results to the supervisor.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a laboratory environment.
