Job Description

Knowledge of KNX power supply requirements and device compatibility
Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and gateways used in KNX installations
Ability to configure and program KNX devices using ETS software
Creating and managing group addresses for communication between devices
Importing product databases and setting parameters correctly
Troubleshooting programming errors and optimizing system performance
Planning and laying out KNX wiring and bus topology
Connecting and addressing devices on the KNX bus
Performing functional tests and verifying system operation
Documenting as-built configurations for future maintenance
Knowledge of IP gateways and integration with other systems (HVAC, lighting, security)
Understanding of TCP/UDP port 3671 for KNX IP communication
Ability to integrate KNX with smart home platforms (e.g., Loxone, Crestron, BACnet)
Using ETS diagnostic tools to identify bus errors
Checking voltage, addressing conflicts, and communication failures
Applying logical troubleshooting methods to resolve system issues
