Duties And Responsibilities

As Kitchen & Laundry Technician, my duties and responsibilities will include:

• Carry out maintenance of hotel Kitchen & Laundry Equipment as per the scheduled maintenance program and preventive maintenance program.
• Assist the engineering department with handiwork around the hotel as required.
• Maintain working area and makes sure that all working areas remain clean at all times.
• Using personal safety wares for your own personal safety during working.
• Respond to all complaints regarding maintenance
• Assist on all plumbing stoppages.
• Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
• Lubricate machinery on a regular basis and provide machinist work to all equipment such as replacing and repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, control mechanism, etc.
• Assist on major shutdowns for repairs. Use personal safety wares for personal safety while on duty.
• Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards at all times.
• Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
• Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Ensure the privacy of guests, partners and residential owners, I will apply an extra level of protection to any sensitive personal data and use confidential information only to perform my job.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.
  
  

Qualifications

To execute the position of Kitchen & Laundry Technician, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum Secondary School completion and/or a valid license to practice profession and minimum of one-year experience in similar role. Mechanical skills are mandatory. I have thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.

I have a good command of written and spoken English.
