The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing strategic customer relationships within the Transportation Segment across the UAE. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnerships with transportation authorities, rail operators, airport operators, ports, logistics hubs, metro and railway infrastructure developers, and EPC contractors. The KAM will position Schneider Electric as a trusted advisor supporting customers' objectives around electrification, sustainability, digital transformation, operational resilience, energy efficiency, and smart mobility.
Account Management & Customer Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, including transportation authorities, rail and metro operators, airport and port operators, logistics providers, and EPC contractors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring alignment between customer priorities and Schneider Electric solutions.
- Conduct regular business reviews, account planning sessions, and executive engagement activities.
- Develop account growth plans and identify opportunities across the customer's investment and infrastructure portfolio.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and target accounts.
- Drive sales of Schneider Electric's solutions, software, services, and digital offerings related to transportation infrastructure, electrification, energy management, building systems, and digitalization.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, framework agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve assigned growth targets.
Executive & C-Level Engagement
- Establish trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, including CEOs, COOs, CTOs, CIOs, Infrastructure Directors, Operations Directors, and Asset Management leaders.
- Lead strategic discussions around smart mobility, operational efficiency, sustainability, electrification, decarbonization, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Present business value propositions, ROI analyses, and transformation roadmaps to support investment decisions.
Segment Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align account strategies with Schneider Electric's Transportation Segment priorities and business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales specialists, engineering, project execution teams, and marketing to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support innovation and business growth.
- Support early engagement with consultants, system integrators, and EPCs to influence project specifications and solution adoption.
Performance & Reporting
- Achieve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Monitor key account performance, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and business opportunities.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of customer issues while maintaining a high level of customer experience.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and account information within CRM tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Transportation Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in key account management, technical sales, or business development within transportation, infrastructure, mobility, energy, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and complex sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of transportation infrastructure, rail and metro systems, airports, ports, tunnels, electrification, energy management, and digital solutions.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and account planning methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of the UAE and Gulf transportation and infrastructure market is highly desirable.
