The Key Account Manager for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships while achieving sales and customer satisfaction objectives in a rapidly evolving industry. The candidate will focus on managing and overseeing key accounts within the FMCG sector, driving sales growth by understanding customer needs and developing strategic solutions. With a comprehensive grasp of the FMCG landscape, the Key Account Manager will work collaboratively across departments to ensure that key clients receive seamless service and strong support. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high-value clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and establish a timeline of performance.
  • Work with management and colleagues to ensure strategic client satisfaction.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities within key accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of client concerns and complaints.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics to achieve account targets.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure merchandising strategies are effective.
  • Oversee account budgets and work to maximize revenue across accounts.
  • Conduct periodic client business reviews to nurture relationships and improve service.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics for continuous performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts in FMCG sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a good knowledge of sales and marketing principles.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with reporting metrics.
  • Ability to work effectively within a high-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
