The Key Account Manager in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector plays a crucial role in managing and nurturing relationships with key clients to drive business growth. This position requires a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities to expand market share while ensuring client satisfaction with our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to identifying client needs and solutions. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and executing account plans that align with the company’s objectives, ultimately enhancing revenue and customer retention. Your ability to communicate effectively, understand market trends, and foster long-term relationships will be instrumental in your success.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with key clients to ensure commercial benefits.
  • Identify and assess client needs to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty to our products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet client demands and market dynamics efficiently.
  • Plan and execute strategies to enhance the sales performance and profitability of high-value accounts.
  • Lead negotiation processes with key clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Assess market trends and competitor activities to identify potential business growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful delivery of tailored solutions to key clients.
  • Review company offerings regularly to ensure they meet client needs and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed account plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all client engagements and negotiations.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by clients and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Report on sales results and client satisfaction metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management within the FMCG sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive results with a strategic and client-focused approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful client relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and identify sales opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
