Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining excellent relationships with the company’s most important clients. This position involves overseeing the overall service delivery, ensuring client satisfaction, and expanding business opportunities within each assigned account. A KAM is expected to comprehend clients' needs thoroughly and align the company’s offerings to meet those needs effectively. Possessing an in-depth understanding of the clients' businesses, the Key Account Manager should be able to foresee potential challenges and opportunities. This role is essential for driving growth while ensuring client retention, making the KAM a critical liaison between the client and the organization. The individual in this role will work closely with other departments, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless client experience.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to key accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits and achieve targets.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.
  • Collate regular feedback from clients to identify areas of improvement and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory through increased engagement.
  • Communicate clearly with the team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on account status and forecasts for upper management.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
  • Monitor metrics such as delivery timelines, quality, and cost to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Attend regular meetings with other departments to communicate client needs and expectations.
  • Provide proactive solutions and establish frameworks for addressing complex client issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret it into actionable strategies.
  • Professional knowledge in CRM software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are necessary for this role.
  • Ability to handle multiple key accounts while focusing on key deliverables.
  • Strong client-focused approach with a commitment to establishing lasting relationships.
