Job Description

A Key Account Manager is an integral role within a company, responsible for managing and nurturing long-term relationships with key clients. This position requires a detail-oriented, strategic individual capable of acting as a bridge between the clients and the company by ensuring that key clients receive the requested products or services efficiently and effectively, and that they remain satisfied with the company’s offerings. As a Key Account Manager, you must anticipate the clients’ needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines are met, and help develop new business from existing clients. You will be pivotal in driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive account management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to foster loyalty.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing all their needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Analyze client data to identify trends and insights to improve customer experience.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services or products that meet client specifications.
  • Handle challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit while meeting client expectations.
  • Establish clear objectives and targets for both the account and the company.
  • Provide clients with regular updates and reports on their accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify growth areas within key accounts.
  • Track key account metrics and make strategic adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in account management or sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex client needs and challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and strategically.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite for daily tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation and organizational abilities.
