The Junior Travel Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless travel arrangements for clients and colleagues. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for travel, meticulous organizational skills, and a knack for customer service. As a Junior Travel Coordinator, you will assist in planning itineraries, booking transportation, and arranging accommodations, while ensuring that travel arrangements align with both client preferences and budget constraints. You will interact with a variety of vendors and stakeholders, negotiating the best prices and managing any logistical challenges that may arise. Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating comprehensive travel itineraries tailored to client needs and preferences.
  • Book flights, hotels, and other transportation modes efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Communicate with travel vendors to negotiate rates and secure reservations.
  • Provide detailed information and advice on destinations, travel regulations, and required documents.
  • Assist in resolving travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with travel policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain and update client travel preferences and requirements in the database.
  • Coordinate travel changes and manage cancellations, rebookings, or adjustments as necessary.
  • Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to understand travel needs and preferences.
  • Monitor travel trends and industry developments to provide informed recommendations.
  • Document travel activities and expenses meticulously for reporting purposes.
  • Contribute to the improvement of travel coordination processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Travel Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in travel coordination or a related industry advantage.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proficiency in travel booking systems and Microsoft Office Applications is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail for travel arrangements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
