You will join our engineering team in Brussels, contributing to major electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70, and 36 kV) by overseeing the engineering of high-voltage lines and their supporting structures.
Your Missions
- Study and design new pylons or modifications to existing structures
- Perform specialized calculations, prepare and monitor study planning in accordance with requirements and client requests
- Guide designers in developing calculation models for both internal team members and external design offices
- Prepare tender documents and participate in the procurement process
- Deliver produced pylons and structures at the manufacturer or in the test environment
- Provide technical support for field execution and collaborate with project leaders, suppliers, contractors, and clients
- Monitor quality management, conduct inspections, and report findings
- Optimize and implement calculation rules in engineering software tools
Your Profile
- Experience in designing steel structures
- Proficiency with engineering software, 3D modeling, and finite element software
- Familiarity with relevant standards, such as Eurocodes
- Academic background: master’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture, or physics
- You speak Dutch or French (or both!) fluently, with at least basic knowledge of the other national language.
- Additionally, you speak English fluently for external communication
- Strong sense of responsibility and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience in expertise and/or engineering activities is a plus
- Knowledge of MsProject, VB.NET, VBA scripting, and Fortran is a plus
- You demonstrate strong communication skills
