The role of a Junior Staffing Specialist is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the human resources and recruitment field. As part of the talent acquisition team, a Junior Staffing Specialist supports the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and help build a strong pipeline of talent. Your tasks will include coordinating interviews, managing recruitment databases, and assisting in the creation of job descriptions. This role provides the chance to learn and grow within the HR field, offering exposure to various aspects of recruitment and talent management.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and requirements.
  • Screen applications and resumes to shortlist potential candidates effectively.
  • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring panels promptly.
  • Maintain and update recruitment databases and candidate records accurately.
  • Participate in career fairs and recruitment events to attract new talent.
  • Support in drafting, formatting, and advertising job descriptions on various platforms.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team during the hiring process.
  • Track key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill and cost-per-hire.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates and provide timely feedback on their application status.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring a smooth integration process.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and recruitment practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Prior experience in recruitment or staffing is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for candidate interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data collection and reporting.
