Overview of the role :

The Junior Site Engineer will support the Senior Site Engineer and project team in supervising day-to-day construction activities on site. The role involves assisting in monitoring site work, coordinating with subcontractors and labour teams, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and supporting the successful delivery of construction projects within schedule and budget.

What you will do :

• Assist Senior Site Engineers in supervising day-to-day site construction activities.
• Monitor work progress on site and ensure tasks are executed according to drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Support coordination with subcontractors, foremen, and labour teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist in ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company HSE policies.
• Report site progress, issues, and delays to the Senior Site Engineer.
• Assist in maintaining site documentation such as daily reports, inspection records, and work progress updates.
• Support material tracking and ensure proper usage and storage of materials on site.
• Participate in site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental procedures and standards.
• Assist in maintaining safe working conditions at the construction site.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving site operations and construction practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Site Engineer or Project Manager.
  
  

Required skills to be successful :

• Basic knowledge of construction methods and site supervision.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and construction documentation.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures in construction sites.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
  
  

What equips you for the role :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in civil construction projects (site exposure preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
