Overview Of The Role
The Junior Sales Specialist – Automotive will support the growth of RMA's automotive business across African markets. Based in Dubai, UAE, this role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and supporting the sales process for passenger and commercial vehicles. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive business development initiatives, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to achieving sales targets throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned African markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, fleet customers, and corporate clients.
Support the full sales cycle, from lead generation and customer inquiries through to order processing and delivery coordination.
Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and sales presentations.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Participate in trade exhibitions, customer meetings, and business development events.
Travel regularly across Africa to meet customers, develop business opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within CRM systems.
Collaborate with logistics, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of sales transactions.
Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
Support customer service initiatives and contribute to long-term client retention strategies.
Background And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing commercial experience.
Previous experience within the automotive, commercial vehicles, automotive trading, machinery, spare parts, or related industries is preferred.
Experience working with African markets would be a distinct advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Commercially minded with a passion for sales and customer service excellence.
Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience using CRM systems is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Fluent in English; additional languages are highly desirable.
Valid UAE driving license.
