The Junior Engineer – Installation is responsible for coordinating, and supervising the installation of elevators and escalators across assigned projects to ensure completion within safety standards, quality requirements and standards.
The role focuses on site coordination, technical support, progress monitoring, and compliance with safety and quality standards, working under the guidance of senior engineering and project management teams.
Responsibilities
Support the Engineer / Senior Engineer in achieving project installation milestones, quality targets, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Assist in site planning and coordination activities, ensuring construction and installation works are aligned with approved project schedules.
Contribute to installation productivity improvement initiatives by identifying site‑level inefficiencies and reporting observations to senior staff.
Support implementation and compliance with company safety, quality, and construction standards at all assigned project sites.
Identify potential construction or installation risks and escalate them to the Engineer / Senior Engineer for mitigation and resolution.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to construction practices, installation methods, and site coordination.
Provide technical assistance during planning and execution stages, under the guidance of the Engineer / Senior Engineer.
Assist in coordinating elevator and escalator installation activities across assigned projects without independent ownership.
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and schedules to understand scope and sequencing of works.
Support execution of installation works in accordance with approved method statements, construction best practices, and OEM standards.
Monitor site progress against project milestones and report deviations or constraints affecting construction or installation works.
Coordinate site readiness requirements with civil contractors (shafts, builder works, access, power) under supervision.
Ensure installation works follow approved drawings and manufacturer requirements, reporting discrepancies to senior engineering staff.
Assist senior engineers in coordinating elevator and escalator installation activities at site.
Review basic project drawings, specifications, and installation schedules prior to site work.
Support site readiness checks, including shaft conditions, builder works, power availability, and access.
Monitor daily installation progress and report any delays or issues to the Project Engineer.
Coordinate with logistics and stores for timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
Ensure installation works follow approved method statements, OEM requirements, and quality standards.
Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and project handover activities.
Assist in manpower planning and deployment as instructed by senior engineers.
Support implementation of company safety rules and attend toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Escalate technical or site issues promptly to avoid delays or rework.
Coordinate with internal departments such as QC, HSE, Sales, and Maintenance as required.
Maintain proper site documentation, including checklists, inspection records, and reports.
Support senior engineers in identifying opportunities to improve installation efficiency.
Contribute to lessons learned discussions after project completion.
Follow standardized installation practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Diploma Degree/ Certificate with 3 Yrs of experience in Elevator/ Escalator industry
