This role exists to support the day-to-day dealing and fund-switch activity within the operations team. The Junior Dealing Officer will take ownership of routine and lower-risk dealing tasks, allowing the Senior Dealing Officer to focus on oversight, complex cases, platform/provider relationships, and process improvement.
The role is hands-on, detail-driven, and suited to someone early in their career who wants to build a strong foundation in investment operations.
Key Responsibilities
Dealing & Fund Switch Support
Prepare and process fund switches and dealing instructions across supported platforms
Assist with rebalances, model portfolio allocations, and bulk switch activity
Ensure instructions are accurate, complete, and aligned with internal checklists and controls
Track and follow up on pending trades and outstanding provider actions
Operational Accuracy & Controls
Carry out pre-submission checks on dealing requests and supporting documentation
Log and update deal status accurately in internal systems and trackers
Escalate discrepancies, errors, or unclear instructions to the Senior Dealing Officer promptly
Maintain clean audit trails and records for all activity
Provider & Internal Coordination
Liaise with platforms and providers on straightforward dealing queries
Work closely with administrators, advisers, and case progression teams to resolve issues
Support responses to dealing-related queries from internal stakeholders
Learning & Development
Build platform knowledge across key providers and jurisdictions
Develop an understanding of model portfolios, dealing cycles, and operational risk
Gradually take on increased responsibility as competence and confidence grow

Strong attention to detail and process discipline
Comfortable working with numbers, instructions, and structured workflows
Clear written and verbal communication
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks at once
Willingness to learn and take feedback
Desirable
Previous experience in operations, administration, or financial services (not essential)
Exposure to platforms, investments, or dealing processes
Good Excel / systems confidence
