Job Purpose

Support the senior team members with the purchases of high quality merchandise at the most advantageous price in order to meet and maintain merchandising standards and sales and profit targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and follow up on tasks assigned by Buyers and Divisional Manager.
  • Coordinate with brands / principals to collate product samples and ensure that they are available for marketing and online shoots.
  • Manage and coordinate the animation calendar for all temporary podium locations across Department stores and mono stores..
  • Follow up with principals / suppliers in coordination with planning to ensure collection of products that have been delisted from the store portfolio and have been returned to the respective vendors.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and store teams to ensure that there is sufficient supply of testers within all of our stores.
  • Compile all brand portfolios in the brand library for any potential new brands that are going to be under our portfolio.
  • Consolidate buying feedback reports and provide Buyers with reports and recommendations per brand portfolio.
  • To assist the Buyer in researching and selecting the best quality merchandise to offer at the best price to maximize sales and profit margins.


Education / Certification and Continued Education

  • High School in any discipline followed by qualification in Retailing or Retail Management / Purchase / Sales or related programs.


Years of Experience

  • Good knowledge and experience in the related industry through work experience with international principals.
  • Buying experience and expertise typically gained over a period of at least 1–5 years.
     


Knowledge and Skills

  • Beauty industry and brand knowledge.
  • Competent in Excel and other Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Communication skills.
  • Inter personal skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Team player.
     


Languages

  • English.
  • Arabic (optional).
