Role Overview: 

We are looking for a Jr. Equipment Officer to support the effective management, allocation, maintenance, documentation, and mobilization of equipment across our projects. The role will work closely with the operations, maintenance, procurement, and equipment teams to ensure equipment availability and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

 

Role Description: 

  • Contacts supplier for disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste (used consumables, oils, tires, batteries) from workshop.
  • Issues MRFs/PRs for all parts, tools, consumables and machinery required for maintenance, workshop and stock.
  • Supports operational/project teams with the allocation and deployment of equipment for effective day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinates and schedules the timely supply, mobilization and delivery of equipment and machinery to project sites and all jobs.
  • Ensures prompt supply of equipment to all jobs and coordinates trailers movement for mobilization and demobilization.
  • Initiates and completes documentation for mobilization and demobilization of equipment and machinery related to projects.
  • Updates equipment delivery, rental, maintenance and asset transactions in the Plant, E-Rental, CMiC or relevant systems.
  • Updates the system with daily time sheets for manpower and equipment from respective jobs.
  • Maintains accurate tracking, documentation and control of all equipment, fleet and machinery assets.
  • Creates and manages maintenance work orders and follows up with Supervisors and Workshop teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Checks and audits maintenance activities and provides necessary support and coordination to the maintenance and workshop teams.
  • Attends pre-delivery and return inspections of equipment to verify compliance, condition and operational readiness.
  • Conducts and coordinates RTA pre-test inspections and follows up on all related requirements to ensure successful test completion.
  • Prepares and submits daily asset status reports reflecting equipment availability, operational condition and maintenance status.
  • Follows up on the validity and timely renewal of documents such as registration, insurance, third-party safety certificates, gate passes, permits, tolls and other statutory requirements for all equipment.
  • Checks the validity of documents for rented plant and machinery and ensures compliance prior to mobilization and deployment.
  • Follows up on the required documentation for operators and drivers, where applicable, including permits, certificates and other relevant records.
  • Ensures equipment handover forms are duly completed and signed by both parties, with relevant supporting records such as accident reports, photographs and inspection documents.
  • Supervises stock inventory and raises MRFs/PRs for the purchase of required parts, tools, consumables and machinery.
  • Keeps superiors well informed about equipment availability, maintenance requirements, workforce requirements and operational constraints.
  • Coordinates with project, operations, logistics, maintenance, workshop and rental teams to ensure efficient equipment deployment and availability.
  • Monitors equipment movement, rental status, maintenance activities, mobilization and demobilization to ensure proper utilization and control of assets.
  • Ensures all equipment and machinery are available, compliant, properly documented and operationally ready before deployment to project sites.
  • Assists in scheduling equipment supply to all jobs and coordinates trailers and transportation requirements for mobilization and demobilization.
  • Follows up on equipment return, inspection, maintenance requirements and system updates to maintain accurate asset records.

 

Educational Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Management, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field
  • 0–1 year of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of construction equipment, maintenance, or plant operations is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and in a fast-paced project environment
