The Aquila School Job Description for Janitor

Purpose of the Role

The Janitor ensures the school is clean and tidy at all times and supports the day-to-day work of the maintenance team.

Reporting to: Facilities Assistant and Facilities manager

Duration: Permanent

  • To keep external areas of the school clean and tidy including car parks, play areas, gardens and windows
  • To support the day to day work of the school such as setting up rooms, moving furniture and equipment
  • To support the work of the maintenance team
  • To support the efficient running of the hydroponics farm and the care of the school animals

In addition, all staff are required to carry out any tasks required by the school or the ISP ME regional office to facilitate the smooth day to day running of the school.

Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task undertaken may not be identified.

Employees will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from a manager to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description.

Employees are expected to be courteous to colleagues and provide a welcoming environment to visitors and telephone callers
