Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to maintaining business operations by addressing technology-related issues promptly and effectively. As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance and support to end-users and ensure that all hardware and software issues are resolved efficiently. Your role will involve diagnosing problems through diagnostic tests, providing immediate solutions, and maintaining system efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer systems and networking, great problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service acumen. You will be responsible for maintaining technology resources, resolving hardware and software issues, and implementing effective IT solutions, thus contributing to improved productivity and employee satisfaction within the company.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to users with IT-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and update computer systems and applications as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot local area networks, wired and wireless networks.
  • Ensure security and virus protection measures are effective and up-to-date.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to system configurations and procedures.
  • Perform regular system audits and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to improve system infrastructure.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and systems.
  • Operate within agreed service levels, documenting all service requests thoroughly.
  • Educate and provide training to users on new technologies and software applications.
  • Respond to emergency situations and ensure rapid restoration of service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, networks, and system maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose technical issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Experience with Windows/MacOS/Linux operating systems and office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are advantageous.
