Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly and accurately.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, mobile devices, and network peripherals.
  • Document support requests and resolutions using the company's ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance service delivery and system performance.
  • Educate users on best practices for maintaining their systems and software securely.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance to ensure optimum performance and security.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software installations.
  • Perform software updates and patches to maintain system integrity and efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts, including password resets and permission changes in accordance with policies.
  • Participate in IT projects and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory of all IT assets and ensure proper record-keeping for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical support or similar IT role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is advantageous.
  • Experience with IT helpdesk software and remote support tools preferred.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional are a plus.
