Job Description

An IT Support Engineer is a crucial part of any organization, serving as the frontline for all technical issues and providing assistance to employees and sometimes customers. The position of IT Support Engineer 24D25 involves maintaining computer networks, ensuring systems run smoothly, and resolving technical problems that arise. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills and excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective IT support to all internal and external users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on various platforms.
  • Maintain the operational efficiency of computer systems and networks.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ensure security protocols are implemented and followed across all IT systems.
  • Document and track issues using appropriate tools to ensure efficient resolutions.
  • Educate users on IT best practices and address ad hoc queries and issues.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Perform regular system updates and backups to guarantee data integrity.
  • Analyze system performance metrics and optimize for improved efficiency.
  • Assist in developing IT policies and procedures for organizational compliance.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, with a solid technical background.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
  • Knowledge of diverse operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with networking principles and IT security best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently prioritize workloads.
