Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you will serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance both on-site and remote. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth running of computer systems, network devices, and software applications. You will be integral in maintaining IT efficiency across the organization by providing both proactive and reactive support. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Your role is pivotal in identifying and implementing technology-based solutions to improve business operations and facilitate the work of the entire team.


Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and efficient technical support to end users across the organization.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, network, and software issues effectively.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and related IT equipment.
  • Ensure control and management of user access rights to improve data security.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service in all interactions with clients.
  • Document solutions and create user guides to assist in future troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and management to improve operational performance.
  • Monitor and manage ticketing system requests to prioritize based on urgency.
  • Train users on new software applications and support IT-related projects.
  • Identify and escalate more complex technical issues to senior staff or vendors.
  • Participate in system upgrades, installations, and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze call logs to detect underlying problems or trends and mitigate them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven work experience as an IT support engineer or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and networking principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a service-oriented mindset and approach.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems independently.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
  • Availability to work flexible hours or on-call support shifts if required.
