Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the technological infrastructure of an organization. Your main responsibilities include troubleshooting technology-related issues and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. You will be the first point of contact for internal employees or external clients experiencing technical difficulties, ranging from hardware to software problems. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-service orientation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT applications, and be able to provide effective solutions in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for guiding and educating users on basic technical operations, which may involve conducting workshops or writing documentation. Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to support requests and technical inquiries from users.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with hardware and software systems.
  • Install, configure, and update computer workstations and related equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Assist users in the use of common business applications and tools.
  • Document procedures, solutions, and user guides for frequent issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal or external resources.
  • Provide timely updates and communication to users about issue resolution.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed and sensitive data is protected.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure IT system health and efficiency.
  • Participate in regular training to stay current with industry trends.
  • Support efforts in IT infrastructure expansion and improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical support or IT support role required.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, IP configurations, and wireless networks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively assisting non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests effectively.
