Job Description

The IT Support Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support and ensuring efficient operation of technology systems within an organization. This position involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption of business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, and communicate effectively to support various departments. Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to IT infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of servers and network devices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and other IT staff for hardware upgrades or replacements.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical issues and service requests in the ticketing system.
  • Ensure security compliance by applying patches and updates to systems and software.
  • Conduct regular system checks and backup operations to ensure data protection.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on IT procedures and best practices.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new IT solutions and technologies.
  • Collaborate with different departments to improve IT processes and systems.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge on current technology trends and advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, particularly Windows and macOS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective technical support.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Customer-service oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
