Job Description

The IT Support role is a critical part of any organization’s technology team, responsible for ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining organizational IT assets. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who possesses strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-oriented approach. As an IT Support professional, you will be the first point of contact for technical support requests, and you will play a significant role in maintaining the technological integrity of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact and support for users needing technical assistance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain and update software as required, ensuring systems remain secure and efficient.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions to end-users.
  • Track, prioritize, and document support requests using a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to coordinate user support across different departments.
  • Create and manage user accounts and access permissions based on company protocols.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring IT equipment, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Generate activity reports and identify trends or recurring issues in IT support requests.
  • Contribute to the development of user guides and documentation for IT procedures.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve technological efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an IT support role preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for effective issue resolution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear user interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in using support ticketing systems and remote desktop applications.
