IT Project Manager

Role Overview

The IT Project Manager would play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of Qashios technology projects. This involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (Tech, Product and QA) to plan, execute, and track projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Manage project execution, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Working closely with the Head of Product to shape the product backlog for upcoming sprints and working closely with the CTO for on-time project delivery.

• Set the expectations for top management for software delivery and get ownership.

• Deliver all the software projects on time with the pre-set, expected quality matrix.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprints, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). Guide the team in adopting and adhering to Agile principles and practices. Remove impediments and foster a collaborative environment.

• Drive increases in automation and LEAN improvements.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders (product owners, engineers, management) to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Manage expectations and ensure alignment on project goals.

• Proactively identify and assess project risks. Develop and implement mitigation plans. Track and resolve issues that arise during project execution.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Qashios delivery processes. Identify areas for optimization and implement best practices in project management and Agile methodologies.

• Foster a strong collaborative environment within the tech team and across departments. Promote effective communication and knowledge sharing.

• Guide the team in understanding and applying Agile principles and practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization within the team.

• Ensure the team adheres to the Scrum framework and its processes. Help the team maintain focus on sprint goals and deliver value incrementally.
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in implementing them in a software development environment.

• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, etc.) and software development lifecycle processes.

• Previous experience with managing a large team.

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in the FinTech industry is a plus.
