As an IT Project Manager specializing in hardware, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing hardware-related projects from conception to completion. Your primary focus will be ensuring that projects are carried out on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards required by our organization. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure, operations, supply chain, and engineering, to deliver hardware solutions that meet the strategic goals of the business. You will be responsible for coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors, defining project scope and objectives, developing detailed project plans, and driving project progress. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential in managing expectations and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor, track, and coordinate hardware initiatives.
• Identify hardware project requirements and analyze the needs of stakeholders and users.
• Manage the relationship with clients and all stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation for carrying out hardware implementation.
• Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
• Assess risks and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to execute hardware project tasks efficiently.
• Apply project management tools and techniques to oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects.
• Facilitate effective communication among project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare periodic maintenance reports on project status and deliver comprehensive presentations to stakeholders.
• Ensure all hardware project deployments are compliant with industry standards and guidelines.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the field of IT hardware.
• Strong understanding of hardware configurations, systems, and networking essentials.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills are paramount.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficient in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or comparable certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
