The IT Project Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the success of information technology projects within an organization. This position involves planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion. The IT Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and business analysts, to meet project objectives and meet deadlines. They are responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and resources while mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. As a key point of contact for stakeholders, the IT Project Manager communicates project status, issues, and milestones effectively. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to align IT projects with the company’s business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans to achieve project goals and milestones.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques.
• Monitor project progress and create detailed reports on measurable items.
• Identify and manage project risks to minimize adverse effects on project delivery.
• Establish and define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Lead project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for success.
• Provide direction and support to project team members and promote teamwork.
• Communicate project status to all levels of stakeholders effectively and regularly.
• Utilize best practice project management methodologies to ensure project success.
• Oversee the use and update of project management software tools and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven working experience as an IT Project Manager in the IT sector.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software tools and enterprise software platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
