Job Description

An IT Project Coordinator is crucial for managing and executing information technology projects within an organization. As a bridge between the technical team and stakeholders, the IT Project Coordinator ensures that projects align with business goals and are completed on time and within budget. They play an instrumental role in organizing project tasks, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders, and closely monitoring the project’s progress. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a good understanding of project management methodologies. The ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and adherence to quality standards is essential for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee IT project activities, ensuring all tasks are executed properly.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budget estimates, and resource allocations.
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, clients, and team members regularly.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring all records are current and accessible for review.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to clarify project requirements and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and identify any issues that could affect timelines or budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with IT teams to prioritize and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support risk management activities by identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary project resources and equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on project performance to upper management.
  • Foster a positive team environment and encourage collaborative communication among team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project coordination or a similar role required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
