Job Description

An IT Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of various technology projects within an organization. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, resources, and communication to achieve project goals efficiently. The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring that all objectives align with organizational priorities. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of IT systems and processes and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills to facilitate smooth project operations and stakeholder satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate IT projects by ensuring clear communication between project stakeholders and team members.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports and meeting minutes.
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them effectively.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure alignment and resolve any emerging issues promptly.
  • Track project resources and manage allocation to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and company guidelines at all phases.
  • Provide support in technology assessments and the selection of tools and software for projects.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Work closely with IT teams to facilitate smooth transitions at project completion stages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, preferably within the IT or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools, such as MS Project or Asana.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and think critically under pressure.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and application environments.
