Job Description

The IT Program Manager - Clinical Applications is a pivotal role within the healthcare technology sector, responsible for leading and managing the deployment and maintenance of clinical software systems. This position involves collaborating with healthcare providers, IT teams, and project stakeholders to ensure that clinical applications are implemented effectively, improving patient care quality and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of clinical workflows, strong project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. As an IT Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while maintaining the quality and secure delivery of healthcare services.


Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of clinical application projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to guide project execution and control.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to assess needs and align clinical applications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget constraints.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and healthcare technology partners effectively.
  • Oversee the configuration, testing, and implementation of clinical applications.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans proactively.
  • Implement and manage change management processes within the project scope.
  • Facilitate training and support to healthcare staff on new clinical applications.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new clinical software solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • Proven experience in project management within healthcare information technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare applications strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills essential for this role.
  • Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
