Job Description

As an IT Manager, you will oversee the organization’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. You are tasked with planning, directing, and coordinating the operational activities of the information technology department, ensuring the highest standard of service for all IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves acting as a key player between the IT department and other business units to ensure that all technological requirements are met with efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness. In addition, you will be responsible for managing IT staff, developing technology strategy to support business goals, and fostering innovative solutions through technology. You will need excellent leadership skills, along with the ability to manage complex projects, manage budgets, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet current and future IT needs.
  • Manage and supervise IT staff, ensuring effective performance and development.
  • Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability, security, and integrity.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new software and systems.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels.
  • Evaluate user needs and system functionality, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and manage IT budgets, optimizing expenditures and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a reliable, secure, and efficient IT environment.
  • Establish and enforce company IT policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Liaise between IT department and executive management to align IT and business goals.
  • Lead IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope and budget are met.
  • Foster an innovative IT environment, adopting new technologies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar managerial role in IT.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and management techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Experience in managing budgets and planning IT infrastructure projects.
