Job Description

An IT Manager plays a critical role in ensuring a company's technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsible for overseeing IT personnel and coordinating the maintenance and improvement of technology systems, an IT Manager is pivotal in aligning the company's technology strategies with its overall business goals. The role involves managing a team of IT professionals, developing and implementing IT policies, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the IT environment. An IT Manager needs to be well-versed in technology management while possessing strong leadership skills to handle day-to-day operations and guide the IT team towards achieving top performance. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire IT department, ensuring the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop strategic plans for IT system development and implementation.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and efficient performance of corporate IT systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs effectively.
  • Manage and lead the IT staff, encouraging their professional growth and performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and consider their potential applications in the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Budget planning and management for IT resources and departmental needs.
  • Develop and implement the IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure a sustainable IT service level.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the IT sector for potential integration.
  • Identify and address IT issues and potential risks proactively to avoid disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and IT team leadership for several years.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and network management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT challenges efficiently.
  • Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor management in an IT context.
