The IT Agile Manager plays a critical role in leading enterprise-level projects following agile methodologies to ensure exceptional business value is delivered. This role focuses on transforming and delivering the Agile roadmap within the organization, ensuring project objectives are achieved within budget and timelines.
Main Responsibilities
As an IT Agile Manager, you will:
Lead enterprise-level complex projects using agile methodologies to deliver business value.
Define and champion project management processes that encourage continuous improvement, collaboration, and iterative work.
Partner with product owners to manage communications and set delivery expectations.
Mentor and develop Scrum Masters and Project Managers.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top agile talent while providing career development support.
Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages continuous learning and innovation.
Build team capability for problem-solving and remove organizational impediments.
Serve as an Agile Coach promoting agile values and best practices.
Guide teams in adopting agile frameworks tailored to their needs.
Facilitate agile ceremonies and training sessions to enhance organizational capability.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks and metrics across projects.
Oversee multiple concurrent projects, monitoring health and ensuring quality delivery.
Review and approve project plans and sprint goals ensuring adherence to best practices.
Continuously refine agile processes and introduce innovative techniques.
Lead retrospectives and improvement initiatives while building communities of practice.
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field (Masters preferred).
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
7+ years experience in agile environments.
3+ years of people management experience.
Proven track record in agile transformations across organizations.
Nice to Have
Advanced agile certifications.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
Knowledge of tools like MS Project, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
Experience with agile metrics and reporting.
Understanding of SDLC and DevOps practices.
