The IT Administrator is a vital role responsible for managing and maintaining a company's IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient, secure, and reliable IT operations. As an IT Administrator, you will be entrusted with the implementation and maintenance of network hardware, software, and communication links. Your objective will be to guarantee that the company’s information technology is robust, up-to-date, and meets the demands of the business. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues related to hardware and software, assist in the setup of new technology, and work toward maintaining high levels of security compliance. This position requires a proactive approach to improve systems and a keen eye for detecting potential loopholes in system processes.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain network equipment and server systems to ensure stability and security.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware and software issues as needed.
• Ensure the integrity and availability of all network and IT systems.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure from risks and threats.
• Monitor network performance and analyze system logs for troubleshooting.
• Oversee the installation of new software, and subsequent updates and upgrades.
• Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources and assist in budgeting recommendations.
• Coordinate with vendors and support engineers for external technical support when necessary.
• Develop documentation for system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
• Train and support staff on IT processes and technology use.
• Conduct regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection.
• Review and apply new technology to the company’s existing IT architecture for improvements.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar sysadmin role.
• Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure and network management.
• Familiarity with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for user support.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, and data protection best practices.
