Job Description

The IT Admin 16N25 plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the organization's technology infrastructure. This involves maintaining the integrity of networks, servers, and databases critical to day-to-day operations. The IT Admin is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime. They implement security protocols, upgrade systems, and perform backups to protect company data. This position demands an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and equipped with problem-solving skills. An IT Admin must possess excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with team members and end-users, ensuring that technology serves the organization's goals efficiently and securely.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and administer computer networks and related computing environments.
  • Implement and manage security measures to safeguard information against unauthorized access.
  • Diagnose hardware and software malfunctions and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Ensure regular backups and recovery procedures to protect critical data and systems.
  • Configure, install, and maintain network equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine IT needs and devise solutions.
  • Develop and implement network troubleshooting and optimization strategies.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructures to ensure smooth operation.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and integrate new innovations.
  • Provide training and assistance to staff on IT-related processes and tools.
  • Oversee software installations, updates, and patches to system components.
  • Document network configurations and maintain comprehensive records for IT audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux server environments and network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
