The School

DIS is home to a diverse student body representing over 90 nationalities, which is fundamental to the school’s community ethos. Although non-selective at admission, our students achieve exceptional examination results, comparable to top UK schools, and progress to leading universities worldwide. Digital literacy is embedded across the curriculum as we prepare students for the demands of a rapidly changing world.

In the Early Years, our personalised, play-based continuous provision ensures students are rigorously assessed against the EYFS framework, developing strong foundations for future learning. In Primary, pupils benefit from a broad and enriching curriculum, including a range of non-core subjects. In Secondary, students complete IGCSEs in Year 11 before progressing to the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

The Post: Islamic A Teacher (Secondary)

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Islamic A Teacher to join our vibrant, high-performing international community from the August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can bring Islamic Studies to life while nurturing students’ spiritual growth, critical thinking, and love of learning.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• A Bachelors degree in Islamic Studies (or a closely related field)
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Islamic Studies in Secondary School
• An excellent level of English (spoken and written) to thrive in a bilingual, international environment
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mind-set which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
• Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
