Job Description
Harmony Global Partners (HGP), established in 2005, is an alternative investment and consultancy platform with a global presence across North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. HGP is currently advancing Project Sage, a strategic initiative to develop its HGP+ Platform (HGP+). HGP+ will be an AI-augmented investment platform which will focus on artificial intelligence and AI-enhanced sectors such as Healthcare, Sustainability, and Financial Services. HGP is in a joint venture with its technology partner, based in the US, to develop this new platform.
HGP is seeking a high-performing intern to support its investment research, valuation, and strategic technology initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and AI, contributing to both traditional investment workflows and the development of Project Sage. The successful candidate will gain exposure to deal flow, valuation modelling, and cross-border project coordination, while actively engaging with emerging technologies shaping the future of investment management.
Responsibilities:
Investment Research & Valuation
• Conduct detailed research on industries, sectors, and companies as directed by senior management.
• Support the initiation of deal flow for HGP’s investment vehicles and core activities.
• Compile pre-screening, screening, and preliminary financial analysis on prospects for presentation to senior management.
• Perform valuation modelling, including DCF, enterprise value, and comparables, under the guidance of an Investment Analyst.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market opportunity research across the Middle East, Asia, and the UK.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate data gathering, automate financial modelling inputs, and simulate valuation scenarios.
Due Diligence & Portfolio Monitoring
• Assist with ongoing analysis and reporting on existing and prospective portfolio investments.
• Review monthly management reports and Board packs to identify trends, risks, and performance indicators.
• Use AI platforms to extract insights from unstructured data sources (e.g., filings, transcripts, news) to support investment decisions.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist with the development of HGP’s strategies
Assist with the compilation of PowerPoint presentation and other research and marketing materials
Requirements:
Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
Interest in AI applications within finance and investment
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one AI or data analytics platform
Excellent written and verbal communication
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working across time zones and functions
A legal right to live and work in the UAE is mandatory. No visa sponsorship is available.
