A great opportunity exists to join Zurich’s Investment Management team as an Investment Analyst and play an integral role in managing approximately A$8 billion in assets across our Australian Life and General Insurance balance sheet assets. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (ZFSA), this position sits at the heart of our balance sheet investment function.

You’ll support the execution of strategic asset allocation and investment management across fixed income, equities, private debt, and property, while contributing to investment strategy, risk management, and sustainable income outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll assist with external manager selection and oversight, performance monitoring, and mandate compliance.

This is a broad, analytical role offering exposure to portfolio analysis, capital deployment, forecasting, Net Investment Income (NII) reporting, and the preparation of Investment Committee and regulatory materials. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone looking to deepen their investment capability within a global organisation driving meaningful transformation.

Important to your success - Unlock your potential

  • Tertiary qualifications Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Actuarial Studies, or another relevant discipline.
  • Progress toward a CFA designation is desirable (or CA/CPA/FIAA). Candidates should be willing to enrol in the CFA program if not already commenced.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a relevant role within banking, insurance, or asset management (financial services industry).
  • Strong experience supporting investment decision‑making through analysis and forecasting.
  • Proven capability in preparing or contributing to Investment Committee papers and regulatory reporting
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex details.
  • Strong technical capabilities, including financial modelling, analysis, and reporting.
