Job Description

An Inventory Control Specialist is an integral role within supply chain management, responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to verify counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records of inventory transactions and adjustments.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track product movements efficiently.
  • Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in the development of inventory policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Report on inventory performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role in logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex inventory data.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management best practices and standards.
