An Inventory Control Specialist is an essential part of a company's supply chain and warehouse management. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper receipt and storage of goods.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through detailed analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports regarding inventory levels and movements.
  • Develop and implement processes for optimized inventory management and cost control.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to address any inventory issues or concerns.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, costs, and related metrics for management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory levels with business forecasts.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for inventory management improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in inventory control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management software and systems usage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle diverse tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and management.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as part of inventory management duties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis tasks.
