Your next career opportunity In this role, you will provide support to joint PhD candidates and the coordination of the University’s International Collaborative Research Academies (ICRAs). You will be responsible for supporting ICRA graduate researchers throughout their research training to maximise the benefits of their international partnership experience. In addition, you will advise and assist ICRA supervisors, academic leads and steering committees, contribute to the broader Graduate Research team’s work, and help sustain the team’s values, culture and priorities.
What you will deliver: - Support joint PhD candidates through joint admission, enrolment, candidature procedures at Melbourne and the ICRA partner institutions.
- Support ICRA supervisors, academic leads and steering committees with candidate recruitment, operational planning, reporting and governance activities in a timely manner.
- Administer budget expenses related to ICRA operations, and scholarship resource allocations ensuring accurate tracking and alignment with ICRA governance and policy requirements.
- Coordinate ICRA-related workshops, events and visits, and promote external funding and collaboration opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support ICRA candidates, supervisors, academic leads, and steering committees effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain ICRA information and communications, including websites, reports and updates for internal and international stakeholders.
You may be a great fit if you: - Hold a degree-level qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent education, training and work-based learning.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, engaging confidently with diverse academic and professional stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Apply strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to establish professional service delivery standards with the ability to review, develop and implement administrative processes.
- Exercise sound judgement and problem-solving capability to develop creative solutions and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the academic and personal issues facing Graduate Researchers and established knowledge of academic and student administration procedures, polies and systems as they relate to graduate research.
