Our Expectations

The Senior Financial Internal Controls Analyst evaluates the design and effectiveness of financial controls to support reporting and operations. The role involves coordinating control implementation, conducting risk assessments, and planning and executing control testing, including process reviews, documentation, and remediation plans.

Working closely with the Internal Controls Manager and cross-functional teams across Finance, IT, and business areas, the analyst supports the development and testing of the financial controls framework, provides consulting on controls, and helps ensure compliance through targeted testing and collaboration with auditors.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring staff and supporting the development and delivery of financial training programs for international entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain knowledge of internal controls and compliance developments and proactively identify key risks. Provide guidance and training on control processes, including scoping, testing, and remediation. Lead financial controls testing across departments, coordinating with analysts and reviewing results to ensure quality and compliance.

Support the Internal Controls Manager in maintaining the control framework and train team members to ensure a consistent approach. Collaborate with business areas to update documentation and validate processes through walkthroughs. Develop and execute test plans, ensuring timely delivery with minimal supervision.

Identify control weaknesses, recommend remediation, and support implementation. Communicate findings clearly, engage with stakeholders to resolve deficiencies, and present results to management. Maintain knowledge of key systems (e.g., Oracle, Workiva, SAP) and support reporting on compliance status and testing outcomes.

Who We Are Looking For

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a concentration in Accounting/Audit/Finance
  • 7 years of audit experience or equivalent experience in internal controls testing
  • Advanced English skills required. A second foreign language (e.g. Spanish, German, Chinese) is a plus
  • Supervisory experience
  • Detailed understanding of general business processes
  • 5 years of experience with SOX 404 documentation and testing compliance
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough, diligent and detail-oriented documentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office suite, query tools and databases. Advanced Access/Excel and Data Analytical Tools is desirable. Experience with Oracle is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as well as multi-task
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and compliance framework (COSO, COBIT, ITGC etc.)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Capability to travel 10% to 25%
  • CPA, CIA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
