As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing design projects, sourcing materials, and bringing design visions to life in residential and commercial spaces. You will collaborate closely with architects, builders, and clients to ensure that projects are carried out smoothly, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients and your commitment to creativity and excellence are key components to success in this role. Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine their requirements and design preferences, including color schemes and layouts.
• Develop detailed design plans, including floor plans and sketches, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure the design aligns with structural constraints and budgetary restrictions.
• Source materials, such as fabrics, furnishings, and lighting, that complement the overall design concept.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients, making adjustments based on their feedback and requests.
• Supervise project implementation to ensure adherence to approved designs and budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations impacting interior design.
• Manage project timelines and schedules to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
• Negotiate rates and oversee contracts with suppliers and vendors to maintain budget constraints.
• Conduct site visits to assess and resolve potential design challenges on location.
• Prepare and present mood boards and design presentations for client approval.
• Participate in marketing events and client meetings to promote interior design services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience working as an Interior Designer in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong visualization and creativity skills to conceptualize designs as per client needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design ideas.
• Strong project management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Up-to-date knowledge of materials, technology, and regulatory building codes.
